BUSANGA BUSH CAMP, KAFUE
AS ‘WILD’ AS YOU CAN GET IN TODAY’S WORLD
Lying in the north-western section of the Busanga Plains in the extreme north of the Kafue National Park, Busanga Bush Camp is about as ‘wild’ as you can get in today’s world; an unfenced mosaic of expansive grassy seasonal floodplains and ‘dambos’ (open grassy areas that sometimes fill with rainwater).
The simple camp is built on a fig tree ‘island’ in the heart of the plains and comprises just three tents each with panoramic views of this wildlife paradise. Day and night game drives and walking safaris are very rewarding – the plains are home to a huge variety of plains game and many predators. Lion sightings are particularly good and it is also the only place in Zambia where cheetah can be seen.
